When: Wednesday 29th of October, 09.00 - 15.30
Where: Netlife Design, Youngstorget 3, Oslo

It doesn't matter how good your work is, if you can’t present it it's going in the trash. Come learn how to present with confidence!

Criterias for participating

This is not a passive workshop, and theres only 10 spots available. All participants has to prepare a 5-minute presentation prior to the workshop. Something you know well. Something real.

You’ll present it during the workshop. Get feedback. Make it better. Deliver it again.

It’s intense. It’s hands-on. And it works.

Why this workshop

You have good ideas. But a good idea isn’t enough. To make an impact, you need to package your message—and deliver it with confidence. In this workshop, Mike Monteiro helps you own the room, every time.

Whether you're pitching, presenting, or persuading—this is the skill that sets you apart.

What you'll learn

This is presentation skills meets strategy meets storytelling. You’ll learn how to:

  • Reduce your nerves
  • Take control of the room
  • Build a story that lands with any audience
  • Link your message to goals and outcomes
  • Ask for—and handle—the right kind of feedback
  • Make boring facts feel relevant and urgent

You’ll leave with the tools, the practice, and the confidence to present your work like it matters—because it does.

What makes this different

We don’t just talk about presenting—we do it. You’ll show up with a real 5-minute presentation, give it to the group, get feedback, and iterate. You’ll also learn by watching others and practicing how to give useful, thoughtful critique.

That’s why we only have 10 seats. It’s personal, practical, and powerful.

What think of this workshop

“I’ve mostly worked as a lone wolf in a sea of engineers. Having some solid, easy-to-remember principles has already helped me handle a tough project this week.”

“It was a revelation!”

“Mike is lovely. We need to bottle him up and sprinkle him on all the fuckheads in the world.”

How the day goes

Morning: The principles of great presentations. Why people get nervous. How to build a story that sticks. How to structure your message and ask for the right kind of feedback.

Afternoon: Practice, feedback, and refinement. You’ll present your 5-minute talk, get feedback, then improve and present again. You’ll leave with sharpened skills—and new confidence.

Is this for you?

Yes. Whether you’re a designer, developer, engineer, strategist, or whatever creative job title you’ve made up this week—if your job involves convincing someone of something, this is for you.

Come prepared

Bring a 5-minute presentation. It should be something you already have and are familiar with—no need to build something new from scratch.

Spots are limited to 10 participants. We keep it small so everyone gets time, feedback, and personal attention.

About Mike Monteiro 👑

Mike Monteiro is a designer, writer, and artist living in San Francisco. He's written about ethics in the tech industry. He warned you about all this shit. He's too much of a gentleman to tell you he was right, but he was right. He is an immigrant in the United States. By the time this conference rolls around there's a fairly good chance he'll either be deported or in jail. So he would like to get paid up front.
